Day 18 - Pesticides

Spraying pesticides to ensure a good harvest is an essential step for farmers. The input costs for farming includes pesticides and for smallholder farmers, it is the input costs that are increasing and hence leading to the economic vulnerabilities that is often present at the village level.

For female farmers, there is also the additional cost of labor that is added to the input cost of their agricultural produce.

Farmers cannot imagine a future without pesticides.
